Bharti Airtel Limited also known as Airtel is an Indian global telecommunications services company based in Delhi, India. It operates in 20 countries across South Asia and Africa. Airtel provides GSM, 3G, 4G LTE mobile services, fixed line broadband and voice services depending upon the country of operation.

Airtel had also rolled out its VoLTE technology across all Indian telecom circles except Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and is likely to launch in these circles soon. It is the third largest mobile network operator in India and the third largest mobile network operator in the world with over 438.04 million subscribers.

I was responsible for the designing and the branding of the cards and the design of the marketing material that Airtel wanted to use for the launch of the data cards that are used by the customers. This project involved designing of the package material for Airtel and as well as designing the flyers which are used for marketing.

I started the design process I started with understanding the brand that I was trying to work with, along with that I tried to understand the goal of the company and vision of the company. One of the major mistakes most of the branding consultants do is they ignore the vision of the company, Understanding about the company is more important than anything else. I feel it gives the overall view of the company and helps in understanding the target audience of the company. According to Bharati Airtel was born free, a force unleashed into the market with a relentless and unwavering determination to succeed. A spirit charged with energy, creativity and a team driven “to seize the day” with an ambition to become the most globally admired telecom service. When I started the design, I wanted to focus on the primary colour of the company’s logo, and wanted to keep the impact right. Airtel works with the tagline of express yourself; this added a personal touch to the customers of the company and helping in creating a bond with the customers.

Soon after the launch of the design I was very happy to see them in live packing, apart from that I was personally a user of Airtel so seeing my designs and the branding coming into live was a wonderful feeling. After that, I worked on multiple projects with Airtel in creating the internal portals and as well as helped, those in reviewing the user experience of the latest application Airtel launched.
